All forms of celebration ideas like Birthday, Anniversary, etc. are there. Lots of possibilities. We look forward to seeing what you create using ODBD stamps!

And this is what I came up with! I went with circles, new flowers, new paper and new lace. Have a look and see my

Can you believe it?

This week just flew by and it is time for another Shining the Light Challenge over at Our Daily Bread Designs!!!

This week's Challenge:

Well...Christmas is just around the corner and when you think of Christmas classic carols is...We Three Kings...Choose three of these items to use on your card: gold, silver, blue, red, snowflakes, ornament, Our Daily Bread Designs stamps.

This will be our last challenge before the holidays. Our winner will be announced on Sunday, December 26. Our first challenge for 2011 will be on January 8.

To make the challenge even more fun, we will be giving out a prize , a $ 15 gift certificate to be used toward stamps at the Our Daily Bread Designs store!! Entries for the prize must be submitted by Thursday, December 22. One random winner will be chosen and announced on Sunday, 26.December 2010.

While it is not required to use Our Daily Bread Designs images and sentiments on your creations, we would love to see them if you have them. As a way of recognizing those who do use Our Daily Bread Designs stamps, we will again be choosing 1 to 2 creations to spotlight for our Shining the Light Award. In order to qualify for this award, however, you must use Our Daily Bread stamps and have your submission added to Mr. Linky by December 22 at 8 p.m. EST. If you upload your creations to Splitcoast Stampers or any other online gallery, please use the keyword is ODBDSLC42. When creating your posts on blogs please include a direct link to the challenge.

So, are you ready to see which three I chose?  All right, here we go

                                                                                ornament, red, gold

Recipe:
Paper:  PTI Vintage Cream, Scarlet Jewel, Memory Box Spiceberry

Stamps:  ODBD Ornaments

Ink: VersaMark, Ranger Detail golden embossing powder, Tim Holtz Distressing Ink Aged Mahogany, Shabby Shutters

Accessories: Spellbinders Heirloom Ornaments, gold ribbon, ivory crochet lace, Recollections golden half pearls, Sizzix embossing folder Sugar

I stamped the ornament unto Vintage Cream card stock in VersaMark and embossed it with Ranger Detail embossing powder. The poinsettia is colored in with Tim Holtz Distressing Ink in Aged Mahogany and a paintbrush. The tip of the paintbrush was misted with a little water to make the ink go on easier.  I did not have golden card stock so I simply smeared my VersaMark ink pad over the edges of the cut out ornament and embossed it with Ranger Detail embossing powder in gold.

So, which three of the above list are you going to choose? Are you ready to get stamping? If you need just a little more inspiration head on over to see what

Chris

Chrissy

Fran

and Patter

have come up with. You will love the creations of these ever so talented ladies!!  All of the above details can also be found on the ODBD Blog.

Saturday, December 11, 2010

Hello on this sunny Saturday..........

my stamping friends!!! I hope you all had a great week and are ready for a new Our Daily Bread Designs Shining the Light Challenge.  Can you believe that it is almost Christmas? Goodness, I have to admit, that I don't even have my tree up yet :C.  See, I am German and in Germany we never put our tree up until the morning of Christmas Eve. German tradition is that the gift exchange is on Christmas Eve and since we always had a fresh tree, we did that as kind of a family affair. I guess since I live here now I need to get my tree up soon as my girls ask every day, "Mama, when are you going to put the tree up?" All they really want is to see how many packages are going to be under that tree,LOL. The little one loves the lights on, so she is all over plugging the lights in ;D.   All right, you did not come here to hear about all of that, you want to find out what this weeks challenge is going to be. (Sorry, my pictures are kind of all over, but it just dod not work to put them nicely two by two)

December is just around the corner...and in most places of the USA comes the cold and/or snowflakes. So this week's challenge is to add snowflakes to your creation (this can be on the DP, punched, the image, your ribbon, and etc.)

On to my little project I have to share with you all today!! Since we don't get much snow here in Southern Arizona, I was trying to come up with something fun and yet useful, so I made a card and gift tag set. What I call tags in this project are actually snowflake ornaments that I found at my local Target for only $ 1.00 for 4 of them. To make them more interesting and an actual tag I simply cut circles with my Spellbinders Standard Scalloped Circles and Standard Circles dies and stamped "to: and from:" from the Poinsettia Tag Set on them in silver.

For my card I cut a 5.5"x5.5" base added a layer of Aqua Mist card stock and another layer in white which I embossed with the snow flurries embossing folder by Cuttlebug. I painted this embossed layer with some glitter acrylic paint which I picked up at Joann's embellished it with some gorgeous white lace and hand dyed seam binding in Bermuda Bay and a snowflake garland from Michael's. The tag in the middle of the card is cut from ODBD's new Tag Die and the tag stamp is the Holly Tag Set. To give the edges some dimension I simply rubbed my handy silver ink pad over the edges and viola, ready was my card to go with my little snowflake gift set.

Recipe:
Paper: PTI White, Aqua Mist

Stamps: ODBD Holly Tag Set (Tag), Poinsettia Tag Set (To: and From:) Christmas Verses (Merry Christmas)

Ink: VersaMark, silver embossing powder, silver chalk ink

Accessories: Standard Circles, Standard Scalloped Circles, ODBD Tag die, Cuttlebug embossing folder snow flurries, white cotton lace, hand dyed seam binding in Bermuda Bay, snowflake garland

Hello on this sunny Thursday morning.....

my stamping friends!!!  Hope you've had a great week thus far and got to stamp :D!
Since today is Thursday and it has been two weeks since the last Stamping in Time with Betty Challenge over at Our Daily Bread Designs, it is time for a new challenge, # 21 to be exact,  and it is a GOOD one!!!

The assignment is Our Daily Bread Design stamps. The challenge is to use your favorite embellishment. There are so many embellishments to play with and use on our cards, but to pick just one that is your absolute favorite can be difficult. Now, more embellishments can be used on your card or project, but you need to make it obvious that the one product that is your favorite one is used most! We would love to see what you create using ODBD stamps!

For all of the details and deadlines head on over to the ODBD Blog after you are done visiting with me ;D

Most of you know that I am very generous with embellishments, to say the least, hehe!!!  For me counts more is better, so I had a hard time just choosing one, but if you look at my card closely you'll know right away what I absolutely LOVE!

Are you ready?     All right, here we go

a very feminine John 15:7

Recipe:

Paper: PTI Rustic Cream, Aqua Mist, K&Company Classic K Bailey

Stamps: ODBD Scripture Collection 4 John 15:7

Ink:  Tim Holtz Distressing Ink Tea Dye, Tattered Rose, Aged Mahogany

Accessories: Nesties Lacey Circles, Labels 3, ZVA Creative pink rhinestone flourish, ZVA paper roses, misc. other paper roses, handmade paper flower, handmade stickpin made out of a MayaRoad Crystal Trinket Pin which I colored pink with a Copic marker, misc. glass beads in shades of pink, antique brass spacer beads, antique brass cross charm, hand dyed seam binding

Whatcha think? Did you guess what my all time favorite embellishment is?   If you've guessed  FLOWERS than you've guessed right,YEAH!!!!

I have a little more inspiration to share with you too, well, actually not me but some of my Design Team and Challenge Team sisters. Head on over to see what

Angie, Betty and Fran    came up with, you will LOVE it!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today.

Have a fabulous and creative day!!

Hugs and blessings,

Our Daily Bread Designs Shining the Light Challenge #33

Hello my friends, I hope all of you had a fabulous week. This week my Challenge Team Design Sisters and I are challenging you to an anything goes challenge but you must use at least one Our Daily Bread Designs stamp on your creation!!

To make the challenge even more fun, we will be giving out a prize , a $ 15 gift certificate to be used toward stamps at the Our Daily Bread Designs store!! Entries for the prize must be submitted by Thursday, October 21, 2010. One random winner will be chosen and announced next Saturday.

This challenge is unique from the others since we are asking you to use at least one Our Daily Bread Designs stamp on your creation!! As we do every week, we will again be choosing 1 to 2 creations to spotlight for our Shining the Light Award. In order to qualify for this award, however, you must use Our Daily Bread stamps and have your submission added to Mr. Linky by October 21 at 8 p.m. EST.If you upload your creations to Splitcoast Stampers or any other online gallery, please use the keyword is ODBDSLC33. All right, since we have managed to get all of the important stuff out of the way I will now reveal what I came up with for this weeks challenge

There is no safer place.......

Recipe:

Paper: PTI True Balck, Stamping Up Pink Pirouette, Basic Grey Olivia

Stamps: ODBD God's Hands

Ink: VersaFine Onyx Black, Tim Holtz Distressing Ink Tattered Rose, VersaColor Orchid

Accessories: Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels 14, black shimmery lace, hand dyed seam binding, leaves which were cut with my Cricut Expression and the Accent Essentials Cartridge, paper roses, handmade paper flower, blue rhinestone bling from my stash (i have leftover from Okinawa,Japan ;D), Maya Road Crystal Trinket Pin which I colored blue to match my blue rhinestones, various glass beads in pink and green to match the Designer Paper, foam tape

So, what do you think? I have used this stamp set a lot, but mostly for more masculine cards, so picking the Basic Grey Olivia pad  took me in a more feminine direction ;D.

I know one card is probably enough for some people to get inspired, but I have to tell you, head on over to

I am so happy.......

that it is Saturday and that Our Daily Bread Designs Shining the Light Challenge is back from taking a little break last week because of the new release of the ODBD October stamp line!!! I can honestly say that I look forward to every challenge as I can't wait to see what you might come up with. :D  So, let me ask you this question....what do you think of when you think Fall? For me, I would have to say looking forward to cooler temperatures, living in Southern Arizona, it is still pretty hot around here, today it was in the lower 90's right here where I am. One other favorite of mine would be seeing the colors of the leaves on trees change and falling leaves, but that is from back home in Germany, as we don't have very many trees with leaves that change at this time of year here in AZ, not down here anyhow. Can you guess what this weeks challenge might be yet?  Yes, LEAVES, you have guessed right. This week the Challenge Team is challenging you to use leaves on your creation, that can be your Designer Paper, a charm or any other embellishment, your stamped image, you name it it all counts, but one thing that does not count is gold leafing, unless you put it on your leaves ;D.

To make the challenge even more fun, we will be giving out a prize , a $ 15 gift certificate to be used toward stamps at the Our Daily Bread Designs store!! Entries for the prize must be submitted by Thursday, October 14. One random winner will be chosen and announced next Saturday.

Linky by October 14 at 8 p.m. EST. If you upload your creations to Splitcoast Stampers or any other online gallery, please use the keyword is ODBDSLC32. When creating your posts on blogs please include a direct link to the challenge.

Now, have a look and see what I came up with

Leaves, leaves everywhere

Happy Birthday..........

to Kelley,Owner of Our Daily Bread Designs!!!  Today is Kelley's birthday and we, the Breadsticks, are celebrating big times with a Blog Hop just for her and you off course, because you all are invited to hop along to revisit some of the older ODBD stamp sets ;D

We, the breadsticks  have all created a card using older Our Daily Bread designs sets and are showing them to Kelley and you, and then we are sending them to Kelley to use for her boards in the ODBD booth. As most of you know, Kelley attends a lot of craft shows and the sample cards are taking a  toll being under the lights and packed and unpacked week after week ,  it's good to update from time to time and what better way to do that by showering Kelley with new cards!!!

Happy Birthday, Kelley!!!

Now, are you ready to see which set I've used?  It is called Joy to the World.  I kept it fairly simple and just water colored the image in and layered it unto some amazing Basic Grey Jovial Christmas Designer Paper and added some super soft May Arts silk ribbon and a few green rhinestones ;D. I hope you like this card, Kelley!!

Hello there......

my stamping friends, did you all miss me? Sorry, it has been a little over a week that I have posted, but as mentioned last week, my girls are on their Fall break and I try to keep them busy, if you know what I mean. ;D

I have two cards to share with you all today, so I hope you can forgive me for not posting last week.

All right, lets start with the first one. A little while back I bought some more paper, yeah, I know, I have too much paper to begin with, but I just had to have it,hehe!! It is called Rhubarb Tart and is by Memory Box, it has been out for a while, I just never bought it...until now ;D. Have a look and see how I've used some of this yummy paper

on I go and prepare a place......

What do you think? This was my first attempt to make one of those lollipop flowers and I must say, you need the right tools, 'cause if you don't you get real frustrated real quick, LOL!!

For my second card I went to some more girlie colors and very Vintage. Again, I had to use some of this very addicting hand dyed seam binding which I weaved through my cotton lace and tied it into a bow. Now let's add some pretty roses and some other embellishments and viola you get this

The Lord your God is with you.....

Paper: PTI White, SU Certainly Celery, DCWV light blue textured card stock, K&Company Classic K Charlotte
